TL;DR
We don't sell your information. We don't share it with marketers.
We use it to send you our newsletter and to follow up on booking requests.
That's it.
What We Collect
When you interact with Maker Lab Kids, we may collect:
- Booking requests: Your name, email, phone number, school/organization name, and the details you provide about your event (ages, group size, preferred programs, dates).
- Newsletter signups: Your email address.
- Website analytics: Standard Google Analytics data — pages visited, time on site, general location (city level, not your address). This is anonymous and aggregated.
How We Use It
- Booking requests — To contact you about scheduling your session. That's why you gave it to us.
- Newsletter — To send you updates about programs, events, and new offerings. You can unsubscribe anytime with one click.
- Analytics — To understand which pages are useful and which aren't, so we can make the site better.
What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your information to anyone. Ever.
- We don't share your information with third-party marketers.
- We don't send spam. If you get an email from us, it's because you asked for it.
- We don't collect information about students. We don't record student names, and we don't maintain any student data. Schools handle their own student information.
Third-Party Services
We use a few services to run the website:
- Formspree — Handles our booking request form. Your submission goes to Formspree's servers and is forwarded to us. Formspree's privacy policy.
- MailerLite — Manages our newsletter. Your email is stored with MailerLite so they can deliver the newsletter on our behalf. MailerLite's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics — Tracks anonymous website usage. Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — Hosts our website. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Our website is intended for adults (parents, teachers, administrators) booking programs for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We don't ask kids to fill out forms, create accounts, or provide any personal data.
When we photograph workshops, we follow the hosting school or organization's existing photo/media policy. We do not photograph children's faces unless we have explicit parental permission. Photos used on our website and marketing materials show hands, projects, and activities — not identifiable faces — unless parents have opted in.
Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to understand how visitors use the site. These are standard analytics cookies — they don't identify you personally. Your browser can block them if you prefer.
Your Choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter — Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click.
- Request your data be deleted — Email us at [email protected] and we'll remove your information.
- Block cookies — Your browser settings can disable analytics cookies.
